This HMS Marlborough is the sixth to carry the name and is the
second of 16 Type 23 Duke Class (1990) Frigates.
She was built at Swan Hunter Shipbuilders at Wallsend on the Tyne. launched 21-Jan-1989, completed 07-Mar-1991 and commissioned 14-Jun-1991. Took part in the Trafalgar 200 Fleet Review. The ship's motto is "S'en Vat'en Guerre - He goes to War" Decommissioned 08-Jul-2005 and sold to Chile as Almirante Condell.
