This the first ship to carry the name HMS Isis was a fourth rate, 50-gun, ship.

Originally French (Diamant), captured 03-May-1747 off Cape Finisterre, 143ft long, 40ft 6in wide and of 1,013 tons builders measurement. Armed with 24 x 24pdr, 24 x 9pdr and s x 6pdr guns.

Sold 01-Jul-1776.
