This the third ship to carry the name HMS Inconstant was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 10-Jun-1836, 160ft long, 45ft 6in wide and of 1,422 tons builders measurement, armed with 36x32pdr guns.

Sold 08-Dec-1862 at Cork.

Broken up Oct-1866..
