This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Hunter was an 8-gun, fireship.

Built by Shish of Rotherhithe, launched 29-Apr-1690, 94ft long, 25ft wide and of 277 tons builders measurement.

Re-rated a 24-gun, sixth rate ship, 1710. Captured by the Spanish 20-Sep-1710, off Cape St Mary.

Won the Battle Honours: Barfleur 1692, Vigo 1702 and Velez Malaga 1704.
