This the second ship to carry the name HMS Hunter was a
10-gun, fireship. Originally a French sloop, (Chasseur), renamed Hunter and converted to a fireship. Burned 31-Jul-1653 in action against the Dutch. Won the Battle Honours: Gabbard 1653 and Scheveningen 1653.
