HMS Hogue (1945) DD  (3rd)

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Hogue was a Battle Class (1944), destroyer.

Built by Cammell Laird, laid down 06-Jan-1943, launched 21-Apr-1944, and commissioned 24-Jul-1945.

On completion went to the British Pacific Fleet and remained there until 1947 when she returned to the UK to be placed into reserve.

After modernisation and refit, returned to service 1957 to serve with the Home and Mediterranean Fleets. 

On 25-Aug-1959 was in collision with the Indian cruiser Mysore and damage was so extensive she was declared a Constructive Total Loss.

Remained in Singapore until sold there 07-Mar-1962 for breaking up.
