Gunvessel 12-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Hardy was a 12-gun, gunvessel. (Also known as Gunvessel No 30).

Built by Cleveley of Gravesend, launched 10-pr-1797, 76ft long, 22ft wide and of 170 tons builders measurement. Armed with 2 x 24pdr guns and 10 x 18pdr carronades.

Sold May-1802.
