HMS Gravelines (1946) DD  (1st)

    
This the only ship to carry the name HMS Gravelines was a destroyer.

Built by Cammell Laird, laid down 10-Aug-1943, launched 30-Nov-1944 and commissioned 14-Jun-1946.

On completion went into reserve. Went to the Mediterranean 1949  and returned to the UK 1953 to go into reserve again. Returned to the Mediterranean 1955 and was present at the Suez action 1956. Came back to the UK later in 1956 to join the Home Fleet.

Began a refit 1957 which was cancelled the next year.

Scrapped and broken up 04-Apr-1961.
