HMS Gabbard (1946) DD  (1st)

     
This the only ship to carry the name HMS Gabbard was a  Battle Class (1944), destroyer.

Built by Swan Hunter, laid down 02-Feb-1944, launched 16-Mar-1945 and commissioned 10-Dec-1946.

Did not see active service during WW2 and on completion joined the Home Fleet.

Decommissioned 1953 and went into reserve.

Sold to Pakistan 01-Feb-1957 and renamed Badr.
