This the fourteenth ship to carry the name HMS Fox was a fifth rate, 46-gun, ship.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 17-Aug-1829, 151ft long, 40ft 6in wide and of 1,080 tons builders measurement.

Conversion to a Screw Frigate completed 18-Mar-1856.

Conversion to a Screw Storeship completed Mar-1862.

Broken up at Devonport Mar-1882.

Won the Battle Honour: Burma 1853.
