HMS Flora (1761)  (1st)
5th Rate 32-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Flora was a fifth rate, 32-gun, ship.

Originally French, captured 08-Jan-1761 by HMS Unicorn, 132ft long, 35t wide and of 698 tons builders measurement. Armed with 26 x 12pdr and 6 x 6pdr guns.

Scuttled 07-Aug-1778 at Rhode Island to avoid capture. Salved by the Americans, and became the French privateer Flore 1784.

Recaptured 07-Sep-1798 by HMS Phaeton and sold.
