Wooden Screw Sloop 17-gun

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Fawn was a 17-gun, wooden screw sloop.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 30-Sep-1856, 160ft long, 32ft wide, of 751 tons builders measurement and displacing 1,045 tons. Armed with 17 x 32pdr guns.

Used as a Survey Ship from Jun-1876.

Sold 1884.
