This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Enterprise was a ship used for harbour service.

Originally HMS Resource, a sixth rate, 28-gun, ship.

Built by Randall of Rotherhithe, launched 10-Aug-1778, 120ft 6in long, 33ft 6in wide and of 603 tons builders measurement.

Used as a 22-gun, floating battery from 1804.

Renamed HMS Enterprise 17-Apr-1806.

Sold 28-Aug-1816.
