This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Duncan was a type 14,
Blackwood class, frigate.
Built by Thorneycroft, laid down 17-Dec-1953, launched 30-May-1957, commissioned 21-Oct-1958. Took part in the '1st Cod War' between UK and Iceland. In the early 1980's served as harbour raining Ship at Rosyth Decommissioned 1984 and arrived at Kingsnorth, River Medway for breaking up Feb-1985.
