HMS Daring (2008) DG  (7th)

    
This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Daring is a Type 45, air defence destroyer. The lead ship of a class of a class of six destroyers.

The bow and mainmast were built by VT Shipbuilding of Portsmouth, and the rest built by BAE, brought together and assembled at BAE Scotstoun on the Clyde.

Launched 01-Feb-2006.

Contractors sea trials took place from 19-Jul-07 to 25-Sep-2008. After which she was accepted by the Royal Navy on 10-Dec-2008.

RN trials and training followed and she commissioned 23-Jul-2009.

First deployment took place in Oct-2010 when she joined the USS Enterprise battle group.
