This the third ship to carry the name HMS Daring was a composite screw sloop.

Built by Wigram of Blackwall, launched 04-Feb-1844, 160ft long, 31ft 6in wide and displacing 840 tons.

Armed with 2 x 7in, and 2 x 64pdr guns.

Sold Aug-1889.
