This the third ship to carry the name HMS Cormorant was a 12-gun, brig-sloop.

Originally American captured 1781 by HMS Assurance, 90ft long, 22ft wide and of 198 tons builders measurement. Armed with 12 x 4pdr guns.

Renamed Rattlesnake Aug-1783.

Sold 10-Oct-1786.
