This the first ship to carry the name HMS Cleopatra was a fifth rate, 32-gun, ship.

Built by Hillhouse of Bristol, launched 26-Nov-1779, 126ft 6in long, 35ft wide and of 689 tons builders measurement.

Was captured by the French from 17 to 23-Feb-1805.

Breaking up completed 21-Sep-1814 at Deptford.

Won the Battle Honours: Dogger Bank 1781 and Martinique 1809.
