This the second ship to carry the name HMS Brilliant was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Built at Plymouth Dockyard, launched 27-Oct-1757, 128ft 6in long, 36ft wide and of 718 tons builders measurement.

Sold Nov-1811.
