This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Bonaventure was a fourth rate, 50-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 1711 130ft long, 35ft wide and of 703ft builders measurement (bm).

Renamed HMS Argyll 02-Jan-1715.

Rebuilt 1722 as 763 tons bm.

Sunk as a breakwater 23-Nov-1748 at Harwich.
