This the second ship to carry the name HMS Battleaxe was a
destroyer. Built by Yarrow Ltd, laid down 22-Apr-1944, launched 12-Jun-1945, and commissioned 23-Oct-1947. Appeared at the Coronation Review 1953. Arrived at Blyth 20-Oct-1964 for breaking up.
