This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Apollo was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Built by Dudman of Deptford, launched 16-Aug-1799, 145ft long, 38ft 6in wide and of 956 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked 02-Apr-1804, on the coast of Portugal.
