This the third ship to carry the name HMS Anne was a 70-gun, third rate, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 1678, 151ft long, 40ft wide and of 1,051 tons builders measurement. Armed with 26 x 32pdr, 26 x 12pdr, 14 x 6pdr and 4 x 3pdr guns.

Burned 06-Jul-1690 at the Battle of Beachy Head.
