This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Amazon was a fifth rate, 38-gun, ship.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 18-May-1799, 150ft long, 39ft 6in wide and of 1,038 tons builders measurement.

Broken up at Plymouth May-1817.

Won the Battle Honours: Copenhagen 1801 and 'Belle Poule' 1806.
