This the third ship to carry the name HMS Amazon was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Built by Wells of Rotherhithe, launched 04-Jul-1795, 143ft long, 38ft wide and of 934 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked at Isle de Bas, 14-Jan-1797.

Won the Battle Honour: 'Droits de L'Homme' 1797.
