This the second ship to carry the name HMS Africa was a third rate,
64-gun, ship-of-the-line. Built by Perry of Blackwall, launched 01-Aug-1761 158ft long, 44ft 6in wide and of 1,354 tons builders measurement. Sold 15-Jul-1774.
