Trafalgar Class (1890) BB

In design, the two ships of the Trafalgar Class lay between the  Dreadnought Class of (1879) and Admiral Class (1888)

Their armoured protection layout was similar to the Admiral's but otherwise were a repeat of Dreadnought

They introduced a large increase in displacement, being the first battleships to exceed 12,000 tons. They were also the first to introduce quick firing (QF) guns which were a significant improvement in defence against torpedo boats.
