Iron Duke Class (1914) BB

This class of battleship was very similar to the King George V Class (1912), but were slightly longer and heavier.

The main difference was that the secondary armament was increased from 4in  to 6in guns. This was done because the 4in guns were considered ineffective against the longer ranges that destroyers were now able to fire their torpedoes. They also had anti-aircraft guns fitted.

They were considered very good ships.
