Britain's Navy - Progress and Recent Additions

Current work  July 2010;
- Updates to current fleet since Apr 2009.
- Work on ships after World War 2 to end 1999. 
- Research on Roman Invasion & Occupation continues at medium level.
- Research on Caesars Raid 55BC continues at low level;
- Destroyers from 1894 to end of WW1 started July-2010.

Statistics as at 01-July-2010;
Site now includes details on,
851 ships names;
5,758 files;
81,005 internal links.

Sections
Battleships 1861 - 1960 - Complete Oct-2004, for Main Details on all ships and classes. 
Few pictures so far due to web size limits.
Aircraft Carriers - Basically complete, including seaplane carriers completed May-2010.
Amphibious/ Assault Ships - Not started, work currently halted (Feb 2005).
Cruisers - Basically Complete.
Destroyers - Ships and classes since 1925 complete. Work on ships before 1925 being worked on.
Escorts & Frigates - Detail work on classes and lists of ships  95% complete
Submarines -Class details and lists of ships in each class 95% complete.  
-Research on individual Nuclear Powered boats continuing at low priority as time permits.
Sailing Era - Alphabetical List of Ships for the following periods
- Pre-1509 added to as details found
- 1509 to 1546 added to as details found;
- 1547 to 1557 added to as details found;
- 1558 to 1602 added to as details found;
- 1603 to 1660 added to as details found;

- List of 1st to 4th Rate Ships for the following periods
- 1661 to 1687 added to as additional ship details found;
- 1688 to 1718 added to as additional ship details found;
- 1719 to 1785 added to as additional ship details found;
- 1786 to 1829 added to as additional ship details found;
- 1830 to 1860 added to as additional ship details found;

- List of 5th and 6th Rate Ships for the following periods
- 1661 to 1687 being initially populated as ship files come up for review started June-2010;
- 1688 to 1718 being initially populated as ship files come up for review started June-2010;
- 1719 to 1785 being initially populated as ship files come up for review started June-2010;
- 1786 to 1829 being initially populated as ship files come up for review started June-2010;
- 1830 to 1860 being initially populated as ship files come up for review started June-2010.
Anglo-Saxon & Viking Era - Not yet begun. 
Roman Era - Background research underway and structure being considered
