This the first ship to carry the name HMS Zebra was a 14-gun, sloop.

Built by Barnard of Ipswich, launched 08-Apr-1777, 97ft long, 27ft wide and of 306 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked Oct-1778 off northern Scotland.
