HMS Windsor Castle (1858)  (5th)
1st Rate 116-gun

    
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Windsor Castle was designed as a first rate, 116-gun ship-of-the-line. But was converted during her fourteen years on the stocks to a 100-gun screw ship.

Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 26-Aug-1858, 204ft long, 60ft wide and of 3,101 tons builders measurement. Armed with 30 x 8in, 1 x 110pdr, 4 x 70pdr, 6 x 40pdr, and 56 x 32pdr guns.

Renamed HMS Cambridge 1869 and used as a gunnery ship.

Sold 24-Jun-1908.
