This the first ship to carry the name HMS Wellington was a
14-gun, brig-sloop. Originally French, of 312 tons builders measurement, captured by HMS Scorpion, off Guadeloupe 12-Jan-1810, and renamed HMS Oreste. Renamed HMS Wellington 01-Aug-1810. Broken up at Portsmouth Sep 1812.
