This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Tartar was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 06-Apr-1814, 145ft long, 38ft 6in wide and of 949 tons builders measurement.

Used as a receiving ship from Mar-1830.

Broken up by 30-Sep-1859.
