This the third ship to carry the name HMS Tartar was a fifth rate, 32-gun, ship.

Built by Brindley of Frindsbury, launched 27-Jun-1801, 142ft long, 37ft 6in wide and of 885 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked 18-Aug-1811 in the Baltic.
