HMS Spiteful (1943) SS  (5th)

    
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Spiteful was an S Class submarine.

Built by Scotts of Greenock, laid down 19-Sep-1941, launched 05-Jun-1943 as P227 and commissioned 06-Oct-1943.

Loaned to the French Navy 25-Jan-1952 to 24-Oct-1958 renamed Sirene.

Arrived at Faslane 15-Jul-1963 for breaking up.
