This the first ship to carry the name HMS Scorpion was a 14-gun, sloop.

Built by Wyatt & Major of Beaulieu, launched 08-Jul-1746, 91ft long, 26ft 6in wide and of 276 tons builders measurement.

Sank Sep-1762 in the Irish Sea.

Won the Battle Honour: Quebec 1759.
