HMS Scimitar (1918) DD  (1st)

     
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Scimitar was an S Class destroyer.

Built by John Brown, launched 27-Feb-1918 and completed 13-Apr-1918.

Arrived at Briton Ferry 30-Jun-1947 for breaking up.

Won the Battle Honours: Dunkirk 1940, Atlantic 1940-42/44, Arctic 1942 and English Channel 1943-44.
