This the second ship to carry the name HMS Ruby was a third rate, 66-gun, ship-of-he-line.

Originally French, the Rubis, also known as the French Ruby.

Captured 17-Sep-1666, 139ft 6in long, 38ft wide and of 968 tons builders measurement.

Damaged in a storm 1682 and hulked.

Broken up 1685.

Won the Battle Honours: Lowestoft 1665, Sole Bay 1672, Schooneveld 1673, Texel 1673 and Barfleur 1692.
