HMS Resolution (1667)  (3rd)
3rd Rate 70-gun 

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Resolution was the first to be launched with the name. She was a third rate, 70-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built by Deane, of Harwich, launched 06-Dec-1667, 148ft long, 37ft 6in wide, and of 885 ton builders measurement.

She was rebuilt at Chatham Dockyard 1698.

Foundered off the Sussex coast 27-Nov-1703.

Won the Battle Honours: Sole Bay 1672, Schooneveld 1673, Texel 1673 and Barfleur 1692.
