This the third ship to carry the name HMS Resistance was a fifth rate 38-gun ship.

Built by Ross of Rochester, launched 10-Aug-1805, 154ft long, 40ft wide and of 1,081 tons builders measurement.

Used as a troopship from 1842.

Broken up at Chatham by 17-Apr-1858.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854.
