This the first ship to carry the name HMS Petard was an M Class, destroyer.

Built by Denny, laid down 05-Jul-1915, launched 24-Mar-1916 and completed 23-May-1916.

Sold 09-May-1921.

Won the Battle Honour: Jutland 1916.
