This the second ship to carry the name HMS Penzance was a fifth rate, 44-gun, ship.

Built by Chitty & Vernon of Chichester, launched 07-Nov-1747, 135 ft long, 37ft 6in wide 823 tons builders measurement.

Sold 13-May-1766.

Won the Battle Honour: Martinique 1762.
