This the third ship to carry the name HMS Nestor was an M
Class, destroyer. Built by Fairfield, laid down 26-Jul-1939, launched 09-Jul-1940, and commissioned 12-Feb-1941. On commissioning was manned by the Royal Australian Navy. Bombed by Italian aircraft in the Eastern Mediterranean 15-Jun-1942 and sank the next day. Won the Battle Honours: 'Bismarck' 1941, Atlantic 1941 and Malta Convoys 1941-42.
