This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Medea was a coastal minelayer.

Originally the Monitor M22, built by Raylton Dixon, launched 10-Jun-1915.

Converted to a coastal minelayer 1919 and used for both minelaying experiments and instructional work with torpedo schools.

Renamed HMS Medea 01-Jan-1925.

Sold Dec-1938 and stranded on rocks 22-Jan-1939 while under tow near Trevose Head, Padstow.
