This the second ship to carry the name HMS Lynx was a 16-gun, sloop.

Built by Randall of Rotherhithe, bought while on the stocks, launched 10-Mar-1777, 95ft long, 28ft wide and of 324 tons builders measurement.

Used as a hospital ship from Jul-1780

Sold 01-May-1783.
