HMS Leopard (1790)  (6th)
4th Rate 50-gun

    
This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Leopard was a fourth rate, 50-gun, ship.

Laid down at Portsmouth Dockyard, Jan-1776, frames moved to Sheerness Dockyard and construction completed, launched 24-Apr-1790, 146ft 6in long, 41ft wide and of 1,044 tons builders measurement.

Used as a troopship from 1812.

Wrecked 28-Jun-1814 at Anticosti, on the St Lawrence River.

Won the Battle Honour: Egypt 1801.
