This the third ship to carry the name HMS Hannibal was a third rate, 74-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built by Perry of Blackwall, launched 15-Apr-1786, 168ft long, 47ft wide and of 1,619 tons builders measurement.

Captured by the French, 05-Jul-1801 while aground at the Battle of Algeciras.
