This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Curlew was a 9-gun, wooden screw sloop.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 31-May-1854, 139ft long, 28ft wide and of 486 tons builders measurement. Armed with 9 x 32pdr guns.

Sold 29-Aug-1865.

Won the Battle Honour: Crimea 1854-55.
