This the second ship to carry the name HMS Clarence was a second rate, 84-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Pembroke dock, 196ft 6in long, 52ft wide and of 2,288 tons builders measurement.

Used as a training ship from 1872.

Burnt by accident at the River Mersey 17-Jan-1884.
