HMS Bermuda (1942) CC  (7th)

    
This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Bermuda was a Cruiser.

Built by John Brown on the Clyde, laid down 30-Nov-1938, launched 11-Sep-1941, and commissioned 21-Aug-1942.

On completion joined the Home Fleet 1942-44. Refitted at Glasgow Jun-1944-Apr-1945 when 'X' turret was removed.

To the British Pacific Fleet and remained with the 5th Cruiser Squadron in the Far East 1946-47. Returned to the UK to refit at Chatham 1947-48, the into reserve at Sheerness 1948-50.

To the South Atlantic Station 1950-53, the Mediterranean 1953-54, the Home Fleet 1955.

Refitted 1956-57 then it was back to the Home Fleet and Mediterranean 1957-60. Refitted 1960 the to the Home Fleet 1961-62. Into reserve for a final time 1962.

Arrived at Ward of Briton Ferry 26-Aug-1965 for breaking up.

Won the Battle Honours: North Africa 1942, Arctic 1943 and Atlantic 1943.
